STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION.
(
I thought I was only ever going to like the original series... Although, I haven't watched the whole of the original series yet. The problem is, I'm not allowed to watch it by myself. My dad and my sister and I are working through it together, but it's hard to find time to watch it. We started a couple weeks after the new Star Trek movie came out, and as of yet we've only finished the first season out of the three... It's a bummer. I need more of my Spock and Captain Kirk. T.T And Scotty, and McCoy, and Uhura...
However! I was watching a very campy and amusing documentary on TV entitled, "How William Shatner Changed the World" (hosted by William Shatner).
(Fun fact: The creator of Quicktime and iTunes was inspired by TNG. How 'bout that?
I caught an episode on TV, too... It's on channel 7 here every night at 11pm, for whatever reason. And I was hooked.
So, yeah. I've been watching episodes via the internets. Neither my dad nor my sister seem particularly interested, so I am free to watch on my own.
I think maybe it's because it does preserve some of (not all of) the charm of the original series. TNG was the only other series produced by Gene Roddenberry, before he died. So it still maintained some of his vision.
And I have to say, Lt. Commander Data is my new favorite. Just in general.
That is all.
Live long and prosper!
